So, Hoptober huh? Well maybe New Belgium was trying to make sure the hops were not overwhelming, but the hops are barely noticable. This is a fine beer, I just think that the name is a wee bit off. I can taste the hops a bit, and there is a mild citrus flavor. It is smooth and medium bodied, and New Belgium has never really disappointed me. They make fine beers, and this is one of them, but it should apply for a name change. Did you know that New Belgium recently started producing Fat Tire inna can? Hoo-rah, a GOOD beer to take on float trips!
Back to the Hoptober Golden Ale; Alc. is 6% by volume, and I give it a 6/10 on my silly beer scale.
New Belgium would love for you to come by for a tour.They are located at 500 Linden, Fort Collins, CO. 80524. Call 'em at (888)NBB-4044, or visit their website;
